Three Fields Entertainment, the studio founded in 2014 by former Criterion alums and games industry veterans Fiona Sperry and Alex Ward, has announced the release date of its upcoming Burnout spiritual successor – Dangerous Driving.

Set to release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via the Epic Games Store this April 5th, Dangerous Driving is an upcoming arcade-focused racer that aims to put aggression back into the genre, recapturing the spirit of the adored Burnout franchise and elevating it to entirely new heights. The game promises to offer “unparalleled physics and mass destruction” as players compete against ruthless opponents across several unique locations at breakneck speeds. You won’t just be battling rival drivers, however, as dangerous roads across 30 perilous courses spanning seven different locations will all add their own unique flavour of intensity to the adrenaline-fuelled gameplay.

Dangerous Driving also comes packed with five different modes to enjoy. Players can wreck their opponents in the action-driven intense Takedown races, chain their way to perfection in Heatwave races, be the last car standing in Eliminator, or rule every road in Road Rage. They can also take the law into their own hands by apprehending wanted suspects in Pursuit Mode.

In addition, Dangerous Driving features an offline mode where players can take on remorseless AI drivers in over eight different types of events, and you can obviously take the action online against seven other aggressive likeminded drivers should you desire. Regardless of your play-style, you’ll be unlocking deadly new cars and abilities as you progress and rank up in the game.

Dangerous Driving will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles from April 9th, 2019. It will also launch for PC on that same date as an exclusive to the Epic Games Store. The title is priced at $29.99/£24.99 digitally, but a physical version published by Maximum Games will be available for $39.99/£29.99 and comes with a bonus game from the acclaimed British developer – Danger Zone 2. Three Fields Entertainment has also confirmed that Dangerous Driving is being enhanced for the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro consoles.

In the coming weeks, the developer says it will reveal more in-depth details about the game, including the modes, cars and tracks that it features, as well as answer burning questions from fans eagerly-awaiting its release. In the meantime, be sure to check out the official trailer for Dangerous Driving above, featuring the song ‘Rebel Tattoo’ by Louise Down, Toni Halliday and Jeremy Abbott, and subscribe to the team’s official newsletter to be kept up-to-date with all things related to Three Fields Entertainment and their arcade racing adventures.
