DiRT Rally 2.0 is officially on the way. Codemasters today announced the long-awaited follow up to its rally simulation game that sees players get behind the wheel of the most iconic rally cars against the most challenging stages around the world. DiRT Rally 2.0 has been designed to deliver a rally-focused simulation off-road racing experience for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC when it launches on February 26th, 2019.
DiRT Rally 2.0 takes players to six unique global rally locations from New Zealand, Argentina and Spain to Poland, Australia and the USA, where you can take on “incredible hand-crafted stages” in a wide variety of cars from both the history of the sport and modern-day rally. As the official game of the FIA World Rallycross Championship, DiRT Rally 2.0 also features licensed cars from the 2018 season, as well as eight of the official WRX circuits at launch.
Additionally, those who pre-order DiRT Rally 2.0 will also receive access to the Porsche 911 RGT Rally Spec as a bonus vehicle to use across all stages in the game.
“We are thrilled to finally be able to talk about DiRT Rally 2.0,” says Ross Gowing, Chief Games Designer of DiRT Rally 2.0 at Codemasters. “Rally is incredibly important to Codemasters and the entire team is absolutely dedicated to creating the most authentic experience possible in a game.”
“Our passionate, knowledgeable community helped to make DiRT Rally a special title,” he continues. “We have been working with a selection of that community alongside a roster of real-world rally drivers to ensure that we meet their high standards. We are not afraid to make a challenging game. Driving a rally car down a stage is not easy and we want players to experience that same adrenaline rush from driving on the edge.”
In addition to the standard game and its pre-order bonus Porsche rally-spec vehicle, Codemasters will also release a DiRT Rally 2.0 Deluxe Edition. This features the first two seasons of post-launch downloadable content, each including three new locations – split between rally and rallycross, as well as five early vehicle unlocks. These include the Ford Escort MkII, the Lancia Stratos, the Subaru Impreza 1995, the Audi Sport Quattro S1 E2, and the Ford Fiesta OMSE SuperCar Lite.
Deluxe Edition owners will also receive access to the game four days early, from February 22nd, 2019, as well as upgraded starter cars for ‘My Team,’ alongside additional in-game bonuses and high-reward events. Codemasters says that additional information on the ‘seasons’ of downloadable content being made available for DiRT Rally 2.0 will be revealed in the future.

DiRT Rally 2.0 will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on February 26th, 2019, and Codemasters believes it will deliver “the most authentic rally and rallycross experience available in gaming.”
