Forza Motorsport 7 will receive its first Car Pack of 2019 on Tuesday, January 15th with the release of the Barrett-Jackson Car Pack. Designed for car collectors and racing aficionados alike, the Barrett-Jackson Car Pack introduces an assortment of seven automobile legends handpicked by the Barrett-Jackson team to celebrate the culture-driven automotive auction show in Scottsdale, Arizona that begins this weekend on January 12th.
As revealed in a press release from Barrett-Jackson and first covered by Motor1, developer Turn 10 Studios collaborated with Barrett-Jackson’s automotive experts to select the seven historic collectible cars that would be featured in the Barrett-Jackson Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 7. The legendary rides include the 1932 Ford Custom “Double Down,” the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport Barrett-Jackson Edition, the 1963 Shelby Monaco King Cobra and more.
The Barrett-Jackson Car Pack is the final Car Pack that has been announced for the Forza Motorsport 7 Car Pass but will also be available for standalone purchase at $7.
“Barrett-Jackson and the Forza racing franchise are major drivers of the international car culture,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “Barrett-Jackson helps enthusiasts fulfil their high-octane dreams through the greatest collector car events in the world. Forza gives enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy rare cars through a virtual experience. We’re honoured to work with Microsoft’s Turn 10 Studios to join those two worlds through a fantastic, fun game that will inspire a new generation to be part of the car culture.”
“We have a deep connection to every vehicle in the Barrett-Jackson Car Pack, whether they crossed our auction block or were personally owned by someone on our team,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “Working closely with Turn 10 Studios, we channelled that knowledge into a group of cars that will deliver an authentic and exciting digital driving experience for enthusiasts of all ages through Forza Motorsport 7.”
The Barrett-Jackson Car Pack will accompany the release of the January Update for Forza Motorsport 7, details of which will be revealed on Monday, January 14th during the next edition of the Forza Monthly broadcast show live from Seattle, WA.
