With the November Bounty Hunter event now done and dusted in Forza Motorsport 7, developer Turn 10 Studios has introduced an all-new Bounty Hunter Rivals event for December to celebrate the Christmas season.

For this one, drivers will be getting behind-the-wheel of the 2017 Acura NSX on Catalunya GP, but instead of taking on any particular bounties, you’ll be racing against the leaderboard itself. Your final position on the event leaderboard will dictate the prizes you earn in-game once the event wraps up.

For example, if you finish in the Top 80%, you’ll earn yourself the 2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV Forza Edition with 100,000 Credits, as well as the participation prizes, which consist of the 1997 Honda Civic Type R Forza Edition and a cool 100,000 Credits. Below, you can find our full prize breakdown for the December Bounty Hunter Rivals event in Forza Motorsport 7:

  • ‍Top 20% – 2017 Ford Focus RS Forza Edition – 100,000 CR
  • Top 40% – 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Forza Edition – 100,000 CR
  • Top 60% – 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Forza Edition – 100,000 CR
  • Top 80% – 2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV Forza Edition – 100,000 CR
  • Participation – 1997 Honda Civic Type R Forza Edition – 100,000 CR

So, there you have it – the Forza Motorsport 7 December Bounty Hunter Rivals event, which has arrived just in time for the festive season. This event will likely last throughout the rest of the month and into January 2019 to celebrate the welcoming of a New Year. Expect prizes to be distributed following the closure of the event.

Before we wrap up, however, here’s an important tip for getting the most out of Bounty Hunter events in Forza Motorsport 7: As you work to improve your times, be sure to watch the leaderboard replays from some of the top drivers in the world of Forza. You can access these by navigating to the relevant event leaderboard, filtering the list by ‘Top Scores,’ and then downloading the replays of the best drivers. Watching replays from professional Forza Racing Championship drivers can not only improve your overall skill and knowledge of the car and track combo, but it can also help with your braking, steering and racing line – as well as figuring out the best assists to use in the event. You can also set one of these drivers to be your ‘Training Ghost,’ allowing you to continue practising against them, even if you beat their time.

Finally, this month’s Rivals event should also function a little differently as you set times and beat your Ghosts. With the Forza Motorsport 7 December Update, developer Turn 10 Studios updated the Rivals experience. Now, when you’re hot-lapping and you’ve beaten a Rival, you’ll automatically receive a new Ghost car to challenge without the need of having to reload the track or the corresponding event. A small but welcomed change for hot-lappers on Forza Motorsport 7 that everyone can experience today with the December Bounty Hunter event. Merry Christmas!
