It wasn’t too long ago when The Coalition added some Gears
of War flavour to Forza Motorsport 7 with three exclusive Driver Gear
suits. Now 343 Industries has teamed up with Turn 10 Studios to bring exclusive
Halo suits to the latest entry in the acclaimed racing franchise. Unlocking them
is as simple as playing Halo and Forza Motorsport 7 – here’s the details you
need to add these rare suits to your collection.
To unlock the first suit – branded the Halo Driver Gear, all
you need to do is have played Halo 5: Guardians, Halo: The Master Chief
Collection, and/or Halo Wars 2 before November 31st, 2017. Turn 10 will send
out codes later in December and code distribution will run through January 2018.
If you haven’t played one of these Halo titles before, log
on before December 31st, 2017 to make sure you’re included in the
final code distribution. Eligible players will receive codes for the Halo
Driver Gear suit via an Xbox Live Message once they begin to be distributed to eligible
In addition to the Halo suit, the team at 343 Industries and
Turn 10 Studios have also got two additional Driver Gear outfits featuring a
pair of familiar, heavy-duty characters.
The first of these is the iconic Master Chief Driver Gear
suit, letting drivers live out their own fantasy driving experiences as the
star of the Halo franchise – John 117.
If a powerful red is more your style, you can also earn the
Driver Gear suit inspired by Olympia Vale, a Spartan member of Fireteam Osiris
in Halo 5: Guardians. No matter which you choose, you’ll be ready for any encounter on the track.
To unlock both the Master Chief and the Olympia Vale Driver
Gear suits, all you need to do is participate in any of the following Rivals events
in Forza Motorsport 7 before January 3rd, 2018:
By participating in the December Bounty Hunter event, which
features Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, you’ll also unlock the 2017
Porsche 911 RSR race car.
So, that’s how you unlock the exclusive Halo Driver Gear
suits in Forza Motorsport 7. Remember, you have until the end of the year to
earn the Halo Driver Gear outfit by playing either Halo 5: Guardians, Halo: The
Master Chief Collection, and/or Halo Wars 2 on Xbox One or Windows 10 PC. Then
by partaking in any of the exclusive Rivals events mentioned above, you’ll earn
the Master Chief and the Olympia Vale Driver Gear suits.
It’ll be interesting to see what games inspires the next set
of Driver Gear suits in Forza Motorsport 7. Perhaps we’ll see some pirate suits
from Sea of Thieves or even assassin’s outfits from Assassin’s Creed Origins. Suits
based on additional characters from Halo 5: Guardians, such as Spartan Buck and
Agent Locke, would also be welcomed.
Hopefully we’ll also see some exclusive game-themed cars,
such as the Rocket ’69 from Fallout 4 – which appeared in Forza Motorsport 6, and
the Warthog from Halo – which appeared in Forza Motorsport 4 and Forza Horizon
3. The Quartz Regalia from Final Fantasy XV was also added to Forza Horizon 3 ahead
of the release of Forza Motorsport 7.
