The next Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 7 will be available on Tuesday, January 16th, developer Turn 10 Studios has confirmed. It will coincide with the latest content update for the game, available on the same date. The news was shared in the first Forza Motorsport Week in Review of 2018, though Community Manager Brian Ekberg also revealed the details in his annual New Year’s Eve livestream on December 31st.

“For those wondering, there will be a Car Pack this month for Forza Motorsport 7. The next update for the game, which will include that pack, will be released on January 16,” he said. “Look for our traditional clue thread in the Forza Forums next week."

In the final Week in Review of 2017, Ekberg confirmed that the Forza Racing Championship will make a comeback in “early 2018,” with an update to Forza Motorsport 7 in the works to enable “brand-new eSports, online racing, and spectating features in the game that have been designed [to take] competitive play to the next level.” He also revealed that more details about the return of ForzaRC would be shared over the “coming weeks.”

This was on December 15th, so it’s possible we could see the eSports Update for Forza Motorsport 7 drop on January 16th, alongside the next Car Pack, as well as details on the return of ForzaRC. It’s also worth noting that the Xbox One X Enhanced Update for Forza Horizon 3 drops the day beforehand, on January 15th.

In other news, Turn 10 has sent out the two bonus reward cars for participants in the December Bounty Hunter challenge featuring Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer. The cars included the 2017 Porsche 911 RSR race car for partaking in the challenge, whilst those who successfully beat his time received the 2010 Ferrari 599 GTO – the car which Turn 10 says “won in a landslide” in its December Reward Car Twitter Poll.

Another Bounty Hunter event will feature in January, and there will be a Twitter Reward Car Poll as usual. Details on this next event will be shared “soon.” Turn 10 has also sent out the Master Chief and Olympia Vale Driver Gear suits from Halo 5: Guardians to eligible participants. Those who took part in the aforementioned Bounty Hunter Rivals event will also have these suits ready and waiting for them in the in-game ‘Message Center.’

Recently, Forza Motorsport 7’s Creative Director Bill Giese teased that 2018 will be “a huge year” for the Forza franchise, revealing that the team has some “spectacular announcements and new experiences” in the works. It looks like things will get into gear beginning the week of January 15th. Of course, we’ll be sure to bring you everything the Forza team has in store for fans throughout 2018 and beyond.
