Forza Horizon 4 will take you to beautiful,
historic Britain when it launches on October 2nd, 2018, but that isn’t the only taste of Europe to be had from Playground’s iconic open-world racing series. Forza Horizon 2, which launched as an Xbox One and Xbox 360 exclusive in 2014, took the Horizon Festival to Southern Europe – specifically, the south of France and the coastal northern regions of Italy.
If you missed out on Forza Horizon 2 when it first released, then you’ll soon be able to experience it for yourself at no cost as the standard version of the game is to be made available as a free download on Xbox One via the Games with Gold program next month.
Available to download at no cost from Wednesday, August 1st, Forza Horizon 2 delvers a European celebration of speed and style with more than 200 exotic cars that can be driven around the beautiful vistas of Southern France and Northern Italy. Players can show off their driving skills with friends online across day or night with dynamic weather conditions. Forza Horizon 2 was the first entry in the Forza franchise to feature dynamic weather, and it ranged from light rain-showers to vast thunderstorms with a full day and night cycle.
The Games with Gold version of Forza Horizon 2 will be the 10th
Anniversary Standard Edition for Xbox One worth $19.99, which includes the ‘Ten Year Anniversary Car Pack,’ featuring 10 specially-tuned and liveried cars, including the 2009 Ferrari 458 Italia, the 2015 Lamborghini Hurácan, and the 2013 McLaren P1.
Forza Horizon 2 will be available to download at no cost for Xbox Live Gold members from August 1-31 on Xbox One. The remaining Games with Gold titles for the month of August include the For Honor Standard Edition on Xbox One, available from August 16th to September 15th. Meanwhile, Dead Space 3 will be downloadable from August 1-15 on Xbox One and Xbox 360, along with Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two from August 16-31, also on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Forza Horizon 2 and why we’re hoping to see its incarnation of Southern Europe updated and brought to life in 4K resolution on the Xbox One X. Forza Horizon 3 received an incredible
Xbox One X Enhanced upgrade, and we’d love to see the same visual treatment done to Southern France and Northern Italy in Forza Horizon 2.
