Forza Horizon 4 has now surpassed 10 million players globally across Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. The milestone figure was shared earlier this week by Dan Greenawalt, the Creative Director of the Forza franchise on the latest edition of the Forza Monthly broadcast show live from the E3 2019 gaming convention in Los Angeles, CA, before later being corroborated by the official Forza Motorsport Twitter account.

It’s a landmark number of players for Forza Horizon 4, the shared open-world racing game developed in collaboration between Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games, both of which are part of the Xbox Game Studios family. Its preceding title, Forza Horizon 3, surpassed the 10-million player figure around 2 years after its release. Forza Horizon 4 achieved this same number in just 8 months from its launch, likely driven by the ongoing momentum surrounding Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription service, on which the shared open-world racer was available day-in-date.

Forza Horizon 4 is the fastest-selling and most successful entry into the franchise to-date. The shared open-world racing game garnered more than 2 million players within its first week of release. Microsoft also celebrated Forza Horizon 4 as the fastest-selling racing game in the history of the Xbox console platform. It went on to surpass 7 million players globally at the beginning of 2019 before hitting the 10-million player milestone.

Forza Horizon 3, the previous entry into the open-world racing series from British developer Playground Games, pushed the Forza franchise to over $1 billion in total retail sales revenue. It also sold-in more than 2.5 million units worldwide within its first 3 months of availability before later exceeding 10 million players ahead of the release of Forza Horizon 4, as mentioned.

However, the continued success of Forza Horizon 4 shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. During the Xbox E3 2019 Briefing, the Forza Horizon 4 LEGO Speed Champions expansion debuted on-stage. Available now on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, this all-new take on the Horizon Festival transports players to a world of bricks in LEGO Valley with 3 incredible LEGO race machines to drive – the McLaren Senna, the Ferrari F40 and the 1967 Mini Cooper S Rally.

Forza Horizon 4 LEGO Speed Champions is included with the Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Edition, Expansion Pass or Ultimate Add-Ons Bundle at no additional cost. It can also be purchased standalone at $19.99 with a 10% discount applied for Xbox Game Pass members. Whether you’re recreating the Indy500 at Falcon Speedway, performing incredible leaps of faith at the Super Mega Awesome Adventure Stunt Park or continuously jamming out to Radio Awesome, the LEGO Speed Champions expansion delivers a fun-filled experience for everyone.
