It’s that time of the week again – Spring has arrived into
Forza Horizon 4 and with it comes new cars, events and challenges to discover
around the shared
open-world landscape of beautiful, historic Britain.
Spring introduces a fresh, crisp atmosphere into the world
of Forza Horizon 4. The snow and ice have melted as trees, flowers and
shrubbery begin to flourish across the landscape. Expect large puddles of
water, as well as wet, deformable mud in the forests. There’s also pops of
colour across the British landscape as well, with wild flowers blossoming
across the woodland, accompanied by tall lush grass and yellow buttercups. You
will also find lambs across fields before they mature into sheep during the
As always, the seasonal change in Forza Horizon 4 occurs
every Thursday at 2:30pm GMT. That’s 9:30am EST and 6:30am PST. With these weekly
seasonal changes, developer Playground Games can always ensure that players
have something new and exciting to discover on a weekly basis in both mainland Britain
and Fortune Island – let’s have a look at everything Spring has to offer in
Forza Horizon 4 over the next seven days.
This week’s Seasonal Championships feature a host of new
items to unlock, including Ken Block’s
Ford Escort Hoonigan RS200, available from the ‘Old Rivals’ event. This one
will see you reliving one of the fiercest rivalries in the history of
motorsport between Peugeot and Lancia from 1984 to 1986. Up next is ‘The Shake
Your Tail Feather’ championship that will see you racing with a collection of
cars that share a characteristic design trait of a long, tapered tail in pursuit
of aerodynamic stability at speed. Beat this event and you’ll unlock Ski Goggles that can be used to
customize your character. The last exclusive unlock of the week comes from the
latest Trial event, dubbed ‘Mountain Rumble.’ You and six other players will be
testing your mettle by climbing the rocky roads of the Glen Rannoch in the
pouring rain using Sports Utility Heroes to unlock the exclusive Trial T-Shirt.
Another Seasonal Championship can be located at the Horizon
Festival. This one is called ‘Retro Saloon Tour’ and offers bonus Credits and Wheelspins.
Two Seasonal PR Stunts can also be beaten this week, and they include the Mudkickers’
Showjump Danger Sign tasking you to jump 250 metres and the Crescent Speed Zone
by Bamburgh Castle, which requires you to hit 193km/h in the car of your
choosing. Beating the challenges offered by Seasonal PR Stunts will grant you a
bonus Wheelspin or Super Wheelspin.
Fortune Island has three additional Seasonal Championships
for players to check out, including series for asphalt, dirt and cross-country
racing. These include S1 Class Super GTs around some of Fortune Island’s most challenging
road races in ‘Fortune’s Wheel,’ A Class Sports Utility Heroes tackling muddy
dirt roads in ‘Mud and Thunder,’ and finally, C Class Classic Rally cars in the
fierce and unpredictable ‘Grass Roots Rally’ Seasonal Championship. There’s
also two Seasonal PR Stunts available to tackle in Fortune Island this week,
including the Lady on the Lake Speed Trap, which requires you to hit 370km/h
and the Halcyon Point Trailblazer Gate, which tasks you to complete the time
trial challenge with at least 42 seconds left on the clock.
Completing Fortune Island Seasonal Championships and PR
Stunts will see you earn additional Wheelspins that can unlock a variety of
unique items, including bonus credits, rare cars, vehicle horns and clothing.
Fortune Island will continue to receive an assortment of dedicated Seasonal
Championships and PR Stunts every Thursday to accompany the mainland season
change and these will always remain exclusive to owners of the expansion.
This week’s Forzathon event celebrates the 1997 Volvo 850 R – a wolf in sheep’s
clothing, as developer Playground Games calls it. Once you own the car, you’ll
be tasked to win 4 Road Racing circuit events before driving it through the
British countryside for 12 miles and pulling off 5 Ultimate Drift or E-Drift
Skills. This Forzathon event can be completed on both mainland Britain and
Fortune Island, so the choice of scenery is up to you.
Complete the weekly Forzathon event and you’ll earn yourself
100 Forzathon Points – or double if you own the Forza Horizon 4 VIP Membership
or the Lake Lodge home. Weekly Forzathon events always centre around a specific
car type, model or manufacturer, and allow you to try out the diverse roster of
the more than 450 Forzavista cars available in the game.
Additional Forzathon Points can be earned by completing daily challenges and
participating in the shared Forzathon Live events, which occur every hour in
the shared world. Forzathon Points can be spent in the Forzathon Shop, which
offers a rotating stock of rare cars, clothing items and wheelspins.
Every week, the Forzathon Shop replenishes its stock of
exclusive cars and clothing items, and this week is no different. In terms of
cars, we have the 1969 Chevrolet Nova
Super Sport 396 Forza Edition available for 300 Forza Points and the 2014 Lamborghini Urus Concept for 175
Forzathon Points. There’s also the Unicorn
Bomber Jacket and the Best Mates
emote should you fancy sprucing up your character.
These latest additions are accompanied by the usual
Wheelspin and Super Wheelspin offerings, should you wish to test your luck in
the hopes of winning some exciting new wheels, clothes or credit bonuses in
exchange for those elusive Forzathon Points.
