Seasons Change Everything in Forza Horizon 4. It’s the catchphrase that was used on several occasions by developers Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games leading up to the release of the game on October 2nd. Since then, Forza Horizon 4’s weekly
seasonal changes have introduced new content, features and experiences for players to discover. From new events to fresh cars and challenges, drivers always have something new to find on a weekly basis in beautiful, historic Britain.
For the record, the seasonal change in Forza Horizon 4 occurs every Thursday at 2:30pm GMT. That’s 9:30am EST and 6:30am PST. This week, Summer has arrived into beautiful,
historic Britain for the first
week of Series 4 – a bit of an oddity since Christmas Day is next Tuesday, but we’ll skim right by that. With the arrival of Summer, the sun is shining bright with clear blue skies as far as the eye can see. Trees and shrubbery have matured as green fields cover the British landscape. It’s Britain at its finest, and the Summer season is here for both the mainland and Fortune
Island – so take advantage of the good weather whilst you can as it’ll only be here for a week!
Racing Cup is done and dusted, but the Seasonal Championships continue with new cars and prizes to be won. The Renault Clio R.S. Forza Edition is up for grabs in the Buick GNX Championship called ‘I See A Line of Cars,’ whilst the BMW M6 Coupe Forza Edition can be earned from the BMW Championship named ‘Beaming Smile.’ There’s also another Seasonal Championship available to complete on the mainland this week, it’s called ‘Boiling Point’ and it can be found by Bamburgh Castle. Beat it and you’ll unlock the “Ho, ho, ho!” catchphrase for use via Quick Chat.
Meanwhile, two new Seasonal PR Stunts have also become available – the Otleydale Drift Zone by Astmoor challenges you to earn 150,000 score whilst the Mam Tor Danger Sign tasks players to achieve 1,201ft. Beat these and you’ll unlock a Super Wheelspin relevant for each event. There’s also a new Trial event available to complete on the mainland too, which is appropriately titled ‘Christmas is Coming’ for those who reside in the UK, and ‘Holidays Are Coming’ for everyone else around the world. Beat this Trial in tuned racing trucks with a team of drivers against Unbeatable Drivatars and you’ll win the elusive Santa Suit.
With the arrival of Fortune
Island comes three bonus Seasonal Championships for players to complete. These are exclusive to players who own the expansion and can only be played on the island itself. They include an A Class Retro Sportscars ‘Fortune Teller’ Championship that sees you racing on the paved roads of the island, an A Class Offroad Buggy ‘Ride the Storm’ Championship that goes cross-country, and a B Class Classic Muscle ‘Headland Rally’ Championship featuring some of Fortune Island’s finest dirt roads.
Completing these Fortune Island Seasonal Championships will see you earn additional Wheelspins that can unlock a variety of unique items, including bonus credits, rare cars, vehicle horns and clothing. Fortune Island will continue to receive 3 unique Seasonal Championships every Thursday to accompany the mainland season change and these will always remain exclusive to owners of the expansion.
This week’s Forzathon event will see you taking out your favourite Buggy onto the landscapes of beautiful, historic Britain. Firstly, you’ll need to achieve 10 Air Skills before winning the Castle Cross-Country Circuit event. Last of all, you’ll need to drive it for a total of 10 miles through the British countryside. Not too difficult at all.
Complete the weekly Forzathon event and you’ll earn yourself 100 Forzathon Points – or double if you own the Forza Horizon 4 VIP Membership or the Lake Lodge home. Weekly Forzathon events always centre around a specific car type, model or manufacturer, and allow you to try out the diverse roster of the more
than 450 Forzavista cars available in the game. Additional Forzathon Points can be earned by completing daily challenges and participating in the shared Forzathon Live events, which occur every hour in the shared world. Forzathon Points can be spent in the Forzathon Shop, which offers a rotating stock of rare cars, clothing items and wheelspins.
Every week, the Forzathon Shop replenishes its stock of exclusive cars and clothing items, and this week is no different. Up first is the 2016 Volvo Iron Knight racing truck – which would be the perfect acquisition if you’re competing in the Trial to unlock this week’s Santa Suit. Speaking of this, the Forzathon Shop also offers a Santa Hat and Santa’s Tash, which would pair perfectly with the outfit. Other than that, the Forzathon Shop is also offering the 2016 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Forza Edition car, which features an Influence boost – allowing you to progress through Horizon Britain that bit faster.
These latest additions are accompanied by the usual Wheelspin and Super Wheelspin offerings, should you wish to test your luck in the hopes of winning some exciting new wheels, clothes or credit bonuses in exchange for those elusive Forzathon Points.
Forza Horizon 4 expands its offering of beloved classic cars with the latest batch of rides available for Car Pass holders. For those unaware, the Forza
Horizon 4 Car Pass introduces two new cars every week for players to drive across beautiful, historic Britain – an initiative that lasts for a period of 21 weeks to deliver a total of 42 brand-new cars into the game.
This week’s Car Pass additions include a pair of Chevrolets in the 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE and the 2019 Corvette ZR1 – both of which are excellent additions to the roster of cars in Forza Horizon 4. These rides are available to add to your Forza Horizon 4 garage today at no additional cost if you own the Car Pass, included in the Forza Horizon 4 Deluxe Edition and Ultimate
Edition. The Forza Horizon 4 Car Pass can also be acquired separately and is discounted for Xbox
Game Pass subscribers.
Summer is available today in beautiful,
historic Britain and Fortune Island until Thursday, December 27th. This is when another seasonal change will occur in Forza Horizon 4 as we welcome the arrival of Autumn and its slate of fresh events, challenges and cars. In the meantime, if you didn’t unlock the Summer Barn Find already, then be sure to find it over the next seven days. This one is a beloved fan-favourite in the 1962 Peel P50 and it can be found in the middle of a forest below the Uffington White Horse towards the town of Ashbrook.
