Microsoft has partnered with Waze to deliver unique Forza Horizon 4 integration features in its community-based navigation GPS system.

This includes the McLaren Senna as your on-screen car backed by the soothing voice of Maurice LaMarche – the narrator in the official Forza Horizon 4 commercial, as well as a dedicated Spotify Playlist for the soundtrack of the game.

Keep in mind, this integration is exclusive to the United States, which is unfortunate for us outside of the country, but those who do reside there can enable all these features by following some simple steps. First up is the McLaren Senna, the cover star of Forza Horizon 4:

  • ‍Open the Waze app on the phone you’d like to change the car icon for.
  • Once the map view has opened, tap the magnifying glass in the bottom left-hand corner.
  • Tap the Settings icon in the upper left-hand corner, then tap on ‘Display & map’
  • Lastly, tap on ‘Car on map’ and choose the McLaren Senna.

Easy, right? Next, you’ll want to change your navigator’s voice to Maurice’s so he can help guide you to your destination with his ever-so soothing voice. You can enable this by doing the following:

  • ‍Open the Waze app on the phone you’d like to change the car icon for.
  • Once the map view has opened, tap the magnifying glass in the bottom left-hand corner.
  • Tap the Settings icon in the upper left-hand corner, then tap on ‘Sound & voice.’
  • Lastly, tap on ‘Voice directions’ and choose 'English (US) – Maurice LaMarche.'

Waze also features dedicated Spotify integration to deliver an easier and safer way to navigate your journey and control music on the road. Combined with the Forza Horizon 4 Spotify Playlist, you can truly experience the Horizon Life on the open road. Featuring artists like Marshmello, Foo Fighters, M83, CHVRCHES, and more, these are the steps you can follow to enable the Forza Horizon 4 Spotify Playlist in Waze:

  • ‍Open the Waze app on the phone you’d like to change the car icon for.
  • Once the map view has opened, tap the magnifying glass in the bottom left-hand corner.
  • Tap the Settings icon in the upper left-hand corner, then tap on ‘Spotify.’
  • Scroll down to connect your Spotify account, then pair your mobile device with your car’s speakers.
  • Lastly, search for the ‘Forza Horizon 4 – Full Soundtrack’ in Spotify and hit play!

With all that setup, your GPS navigation system will deliver the ultimate on-road Forza Horizon 4 experience – all thanks to Waze, the McLaren Senna, and the soothing voice of Maurice LaMarche, as well as the fantastic Forza Horizon 4 Soundtrack!

Forza Horizon 4 is now available on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, as well as the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. In the future, you’ll be able to experience its take on beautiful, historic Britain across even more devices with Microsoft’s new ‘Project xCloud’ game-streaming service. The shared open-world racing game has been named the fastest-selling entry into the series yet and has even provided a “a huge uplift” for Xbox Game Pass in terms of both subscriptions and engagement.

In the meantime, be sure to check out our in-depth review for Forza Horizon 4, which says the game “delivers its biggest and best festival yet in beautiful, historic Britain, in what is not only the new must have exclusive on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, but also the best open-world racing game ever made. This is by far the ultimate celebration of cars, music and freedom.”
