Turn 10 Studios has revealed the ForzaRC Tanner Foust
Challenge – debuting in Forza
Motorsport 7 on Wednesday, April 11th. As revealed in the latest Forza Motorsport Week
in Review, this event follows the recent ForzaRC Bounty
Hunter Ladder Challenge and will see players putting their skills to the
test against one of the best drivers in the real-world, Tanner Foust.
You’ll likely know Tanner Foust for his accomplishments as
both a race competitor and stunt driver. Over the course of his career, Foust
has earned championship victories in multiple racing disciples, including rallycross,
drifting, and as a four-times X Games gold medallist. He’s also appeared as a stunt
driver in a few Hollywood blockbusters and has set world records.
In 2011, he teamed up with Hot Wheels to make a 332-foot
ramp-to-ramp leap in a truck at the Indianapolis 500. Foust has also appeared
in a number of television shows, including the American Top Gear series, as
well as his ‘Life in the Foust Lane’ series on YouTube.
With the ForzaRC Tanner Foust Challenge, the Forza community
will be taking on this leading driver as the entire Forza Motorsport 7 fanbase
is challenged to beat his time on the event leaderboard – like other Bounty
Hunter events. Players will be taking Foust’s race car, the Volkswagen Beetle
GRC, to the Dubai Mountain Circuit for this Rivals event once it opens on April
Everyone who beats Foust’s final time will win the exclusive
1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SD-455. Come within two seconds of his final
time and you’ll unlock the Disco Driver Gear suit. As usual, there’s also a
participation prize for simply competing in the event, and this time it’s the 1995
Volkswagen Corrado VR6, which will be sent out to all players who set a time in
You can add Tanner’s Gamertag on Xbox Live today so you’re
prepared for the challenge come next week. His Gamertag is ‘SweeTFoust34,’ so
throw him a friend request and follow his progress on the event leaderboard. Look
out for an update on the ForzaRC Tanner Foust Challenge in next week’s edition
of the Forza Motorsport Week in Review.
Be sure to check out the above video from Tanner Foust in which
he briefly discusses the event and reveals why it’ll be better than the Bounty
Hunter challenge featuring IndyCar driver Josef Newgarden from last year.
Perhaps it’s time we also had another event featuring Newgarden in Forza
