It’s been more than six months since the launch of FullThrottle Media. In that time, we’ve established and grown our brand as thousands of users have been engaged by our content. We’ve produced more than 100 articles on the Forza franchise and continue to push for unique coverage opportunities with Forza Motorsport 7, Forza Racing Championship, and of course, the recently-announced Forza Horizon 4. We’ve used Game Hubs as a unique way to bring you curated, easy-to-access content for all your favourite racing games.

Now, we’re ready for the next step in our journey – Patreon. We see this as an opportunity to further expand our brand and explore new opportunities – to take FullThrottle Media to its next horizon. Our website will remain completely ad-free, and we’ll continue to invest and create the content you know and love. The biggest change is that you’ll see even more of it. Patreon will allow us to increase our resources and dedicate even more time to FullThrottle Media. That means more news coverage and feature stories, unique videos and developer interviews, in-depth reviews, and as you might have already noticed, the introduction of Podcasts.

Two entirely-new FullThrottle in-house Podcasts are currently in production, with the first focusing on general chitchat about all things cars and gaming-related, including automotive culture and motorsports fuelled by deep discussion and debate. The second will be all about racing games and more specifically, racing esports. Discussion about the Forza Racing Championship, the F1 Esports Series and more, featuring player interviews, race and competition analysis, and more – including plenty of well-known names from the competitive community. Stay tuned for more details on these Podcasts soon, which will feature unique incentives exclusive to our Patreon backers.

We’re also pleased to announce that FullThrottle Media will also have its own branded merchandise in the future. It’s still early days for us in this department and we want to ensure we get it right, so whilst we don’t have any concrete details to share just yet, those who pledge to us at the premium $50 tier will be the first to receive our merchandise at no additional cost.

These are undoubtedly exciting updates to FullThrottle Media and the roadmap ahead has a lot in store for our readers and viewers alike. We’ll continue to invest into more of the content you enjoy the most. That means doubling down on our efforts for both written and video coverage, including for racing esports series like the Forza Racing Championship. With the highly-anticipated launches of F1 2018 and Forza Horizon 4 later this year, there’s plenty to be excited about regarding new racing game experiences – and we’ll be covering them all in the detail you come to expect here on FullThrottle Media. In fact, we just opened a new writing position to help us with covering the Forza Motorsport franchise, and details for applying can be found here.

Patreon is important to us because it allows us to increase our resources and dedicate even more to this project. That means attending more events, producing even more content and coverage, delivering more exclusive stories, and releasing more reviews and interviews. It also enables us to expand into new areas, and you’ll see that with Podcasts and merchandise, as well as all-new website features and upgrades. It also helps to cover our server, bandwidth and development costs whilst investing in more and better equipment used to deliver our content. It’s an exciting step for us and we hope our users enjoy the benefits of it – including the ability to game with us in unique sessions, participate in exclusive polls, have your name featured on our dedicated sponsors page, and impact the future of FullThrottle Media and our coverage with direct feedback opportunities.

This is important to us because we want to hear from you. Let us know your thoughts, opinions and ideas, because at the end of the day, this is a collaborative project with our community, and that’s how we’ve always seen it. It’s not easy at all to ask for money from those who already support us, and it’s something we’d prefer to avoid, but we have exciting ambitions and ideas for the future and the opportunities here for us are endless. We want to ensure that we continue delivering the best coverage we can without the need of having to worry about a lack of funding, side jobs or turning this project into a hobbyist thing instead of our main everyday focus

Lastly, on behalf of the entire team, we wanted to say thank you to everyone for all their support so far. The numbers have completely and utterly exceeded our expectations, and the messages we’ve received online and even the comments we’ve been told in-person are just incredible and heart-warming. We aspired to create a website with social channels that were centered around the community and the response has been humbling to say the least. Overall, we’re truly appreciative for all your support over the past six months, and we’re excited to see what the future has in store for us. The rest of 2018 is sure to be unforgettable.

Pledge to FullThrottle Media today on Patreon to help support the funding of our website and coverage whilst also benefiting from unique perks and incentives.
