GT Sport Introduces Wet Conditions for Red Bull Ring

It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally possible to race in wet weather conditions in Gran Turismo Sport with the release of the August 2019 Update.

Available to download now on PlayStation 4, this newest update from the team at Polyphony Digital adds rainy conditions to one existing track in the game – the Red Bull Ring, as well as its shorthand configuration. Additional tracks will likely receive support for wet weather conditions in the future. Furthermore, the famous Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is also due to arrive into GT Sport soon, but an exact release date has yet to be announced.

Five new Japanese sports cars adored by car enthusiasts around the world have also been added with this update, including:

  • Honda S2000 '99 (N200)
  • Nissan Silvia K's Dia Selection (S13) '90 (N200)
  • Toyota Corolla Levin 3door 1600GT APEX (AE86) '83 (N100)
  • Subaru Impreza Coupe WRX Type R STi Version VI '99 (N300)
  • Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo '91 (N300)

Seven new rounds have also been added to existing GT League events, including:

  • Beginner League: 2 new rounds added to the 'Beetle & Samba Bus Festa'
  • Amateur League: 2 new rounds added to the 'J-Sports Meeting'
  • Professional League: 2 new rounds added to the 'All Japan GT Car Championships'
  • Endurance League: 1 new round added to the 'Porsche Cup'
