Rockstar Games has introduced its most unique vehicle yet into GTA Online with the arrival of the RC Bandito. This small, but lethal toy car is customizable with a range of explosive options, including fatal Kinetic and EMP mines. It can even be personalized with a selection of unique visual modifications and more to truly bring it to life.
The RC Bandito is available to order today from Southern San Andreas Super Autos, but it’ll come at a costly $1,590,000. You’ll also need an Arena Workshop to order the toy RC car, which will set you back $995,000 at minimum, providing you order it without any of the fancy upgrades or decals. The most you can spend on an Arena Workshop is a whopping $4,365,000.
Rockstar says that the RC Bandito features its own dedicated workstation at the Maze Bank Arena Workshop, which is where you’ll be able to customize and modify the vehicle. Whether its through mines and explosives to unique liveries, lids and the ability to vertically jump anywhere around the game world, the RC Bandito is as configurable as all the latest vehicles to arrive into GTA Online. Once you’ve personalized this deadly toy car to your liking at the workshop, you’ll be able to spawn it into Los Santos or Blaine County by bringing up the Interaction Menu and choosing the RC Bandito from your Inventory selection.
However, for those who don’t wish to invest in the pricey Arena Workshop, Rockstar still has you covered. The developer has introduced eight all-new RC Bandito Races, each of which are paying out Double GTA$ and RP for the next seven days as of publishing this story. Each of these races can be enjoyed in GTA Online by all players without the need of purchasing an RC Bandito. You just won’t be able to benefit from the customization or upgrades that are available from the Arena Workshop.
Regardless, the ability to check out the RC Bandito in dedicated races for yourself without purchasing the vehicle is greatly appreciated – and you can find the official description for all eight vehicles below, courtesy of the official Rockstar Newswire:
RC - All Downhill From Here: Ah, the sights of north Los Santos. The majesty of the Galileo observatory, the luxury of the Vinewood Hills, the splatter of collateral damage as hordes of tiny weapons-grade cars enter a collective death spiral just before the finish line.
RC - Trailer Park Dash: In Sandy Shores, there are three rules: Trust your peripheral vision. Make friends with your fight or flight reflex. And if you hear something that sounds like an RC Bandito driven by a homicidal maniac, it's already too late.
RC - Air Traffic Control: It's a frat night classic: wait till the security teams are occupied, throw your turbo-charged RC cars over the fence, and race a few laps around the main runway at LSIA. Last one across the line gets the cavity search.
RC - Beach Please: If you want a real cross section of high-end humanity, head to Vespucci Beach. Sunbathers, bodybuilders, families, flirting couples: every single one a perfect target for a remote-control truck to the shins.
RC – Docking Around: Who doesn't remember spending the summer vacation racing remote-control cars around LS docks? Jumping the cranes and cargo ships, knocking each other into the water, getting under the feet of the occasional smuggler. There's always time to relive the good old days.
RC - Paleto Bae: The good citizens of Paleto have always enjoyed the simple life: heavy drinking, small arms fire, 'accidentally' kissing your cousin, and now a really tight course for RC cars.
RC - Go for 'broke: When the guards at Bolingbroke aren't playing Hide the Human Rights Treaty, they need to blow off some steam. Turns out straight laps of the perimeter in an RC Bandito are just the ticket.
RC - Tee'd Off: Fore! There's no hole-in-one quite like a remote-control car right between the other guy's eyes.
In addition to the Double Cash & RP opportunities available from today’s new RC Bandito Races, all official Rockstar Stunt Races will also be offering the same benefits through February 6th. Rockstar Games has also enabled this bonus for its Running Back (Remix) Adversary Mode, too.
However, the most exciting bonus of the month comes in the form of the free cash available to everyone by simply logging into GTA Online every weekend over the next four weeks. With a sum of $1 million to be earned in bonuses, this is a proposition not to be missed out on. Rockstar Games says it’ll offer a $250,000 stimulus for each weekend players log into the game, which means if you log into GTA Online this upcoming weekend, you receive $250,000 the following weekend. Do it throughout every weekend in February, and you’ll receive a cool $1 million in total.
Rockstar has also teased that it’ll be offering Double GTA$ and RP bonuses throughout the entire month, including double cash on Gunrunning Sales, Doomsday Heist Finales, numerous “fan-favourite” Adversary Modes, and more. Additional details about these bonuses will be shared over the coming weeks on the Rockstar Newswire and the developer’s official social channels.
Meanwhile, those who invest in the Maze Bank Arena Workshop this week will benefit from 30% off Arena Workshop Mechanics and Arena Boost Upgrades, with the same discount also applying to the Weeny Arena Issi Contender Upgrade and the Bravado Sasquatch Contender Upgrade. Rockstar has also discounted several high-end vehicles and performance modifications in GTA Online, which include 30% off the Ocelot Swinger, the Overflod Tyrant, the Pegassi Tezeract, the Vapid Hustler and the Ocelot Pariah. The Hotring Sabre, Hydra, Buzzard and Hunter all benefit from a 35% discount, whilst Engine, Brakes, Handling and Suspension upgrades are all 30% off.
