Rockstar Games has announced a new version of Grand Theft Auto V for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Available today, the Grand
Theft Auto V Premium Online Edition features the complete Grand Theft Auto V story experience with the ever-evolving world of Grand Theft Auto Online, including all existing updates and content, such as The Doomsday Heist, Gunrunning, Smuggler’s Run, Bikers, and more.
However, all that content is also available in the standard versions of Grand Theft Auto V, but what makes this version different is the inclusion of the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack. This add-on is the fastest way for GTA Online players to jumpstart their criminal empires with a selection of the “most exciting and popular content” to be had in the mode, plus $1,000,000 bonus cash to spend on whatever you desire in GTA Online.
In total, those who opt for the Grand Theft Auto V Premium Online Edition – available for £59.99 – will receive over GTA$10,000,000 in value across properties, businesses, weapons, vehicles and more. You can find the full selection of content included with the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack over on Rockstar Games’ official
GTA Online website.
Unfortunately, the Newswire
article shared by Rockstar Games for the Premium Online Edition of Grand Theft Auto V doesn’t mention anything about enhancements for the upgraded consoles from Microsoft and Sony – the Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro, respectively.
Many had hoped – including myself – that Rockstar Games would use the Premium Online Edition release as an opportunity to update Grand Theft Auto V to take advantage of the power of these consoles with graphical upgrades such as 4K resolution, improved textures, increased detail and draw distance, and higher-quality assets.
Grand Theft Auto V has undeniably been a colossal success for Rockstar Games and its parent company, Take-Two Interactive, since its release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in September 2013. The blockbuster title has sold
90 million units globally, and the release of this Premium Online Edition shows Rockstar Games is on-track to hit that prestigious 100-million-unit milestone. In addition, a recent report claimed that Grand Theft Auto V has brought in a whopping $6 billion – making it the most profitable
entertainment product ever released.
