Codemasters has announced that ONRUSH, its upcoming MotorStorm spiritual successor from the former development team at Evolution Studios, will be available on June 5th, 2018.

The launch date reveal coincides with official pre-order details for the game. First and foremost, pre-orders are now live on PlayStation 4. Those who pre-order on Sony’s console will be guaranteed to an “exclusive early access beta” in May.

Codemasters also revealed the official Deluxe Edition for the game, which includes eight exclusive vehicle designs, two unique tombstones, a special vortex buggy, and eight console exclusive designs on PlayStation 4. That’s a total of 17 unique vehicle designs to make you stand out from the crowd.

Those on Xbox One will have “an exclusive digital Xbox Deluxe Edition,” details of which are to be announced “very soon,” according to the developer. As for an Xbox One beta, details on that have also yet to be announced.

The official cover art for ONRUSH looks completely and utterly bonkers, but brilliant.

In other news, Codemasters has also shared a series of brand-new screenshots from ONRUSH – all of which were taken using the in-game Photo Mode! That’s right, when ONRUSH smashes onto your Xbox One or PS4 console in June, you’ll be able to pause all the high-octane madness and capture that perfect shot to share with the entire community.

Photo Mode in ONRUSH features a 360-degree camera that can be flipped in any way you like. Perhaps you’d like a crazy upside-down shot mid-air, or maybe another that sees you up close and personal with your vehicle as it obliterates all of your opponents? It’s all there, and you can even adjust the camera’s shutter speed, zoom and focus distance to create the perfect action shot. Ah, music to my ears!

There will also be “a number of adaptable filters” in ONRUSH’s Photo Mode when it launches too, and overall, if it’s anything like the brilliant Photo Mode found in F1 2017, then it’ll be fantastic.

ONRUSH launches on June 5th, 2018 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and with more news to come in the months ahead, we’ll be sure to keep you up-to-date with all of it! In the meantime, be sure to check out our Most Anticipated Games of 2018 feature story, which prominently features ONRUSH!
