Rockstar Games has announced that Red Dead Redemption 2 will
be released on October 26th, 2018. The developer previously announced it would be
available in Spring 2018 after delaying it from an original Fall 2017 release timeframe.
“We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While
we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for
polish,” said Rockstar Games in a newswire post to fans. “We sincerely thank
you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will
agree the wait will have been worth it.”
For now, fans can enjoy a selection of new screenshots from
the game. Rockstar Games said that more information on Red Dead Redemption 2
will be shared “in the coming weeks.”
These new screenshots showcase the vast and beautiful
open-world of Red Dead Redemption 2, including a look at the game’s stunning vistas
and atmospheric scenery in the American heartland, as well as the characters
from the Van der Linde gang, including the main protagonist, Arthur Morgan.
