Need for Speed Payback is an open-world racing game built to deliver “an edge-of-your-seat experience that will have players living out their ultimate action driving fantasy.” Set in the gambler’s paradise of Fortune Valley, players can drive as three different characters: Tyler – the racer, Mac – the showman, and Jess – the wheelman. Each have their own distinct driving style. Together, they go up against The House, a nefarious cartel that runs the city’s underground and has full control of the casinos, cops, and street leagues.

Discover a vast open-world in Fortune Valley. Drift up and down mountain roads, tear up the desert terrain, speed through the city, complete insane heist missions and earn enough of a reputation on the streets to get revenge in the ultimate race to take down The House, known as the Outlaw's Rush. This explosive adventure is filled with intense heist missions, high stakes car battles, epic cop pursuits and jaw dropping set pieces, all fuelled by a story of betrayal and revenge.

Cars are at the center of everything in Need for Speed Payback, and Derelicts bring all-new and unique customization options to the series. Take a scrap chassis found on the side of the road and turn it into a supercar dream machine. From Scrap, to Stock, to Supercar. Five unique car classes also feature in Need for Speed Payback, offering endless upgrade and tuning opportunities for players to specialize their ride and leave challengers in the dust during the Racing, Off Road, Drifting, Drag, and Runner missions that make up the storyline in the game.

Cops are also back in Need for Speed Payback, and better than ever before with chases that bring even more heat to the road. Smarter police mean it’ll take more skill to escape and fend off new reinforcement vehicles like Rhinos and Helicopters. The Cops are also controlled by The House, and you’ll find them across the storyline of Need for Speed Payback. Want more? Take a chance on Bait Crates in the open world, which award players with performance upgrades if they can escape an on-the-spot cop chase.

Need for Speed Payback launched on November 10th, 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and EA’s Origin client, and can be experienced in 4K on Xbox One X, PS4 Pro, and PC.

Also available is the Speedcross expansion. Join Mac in a series of lightning-fast time-trial hybrid missions that combines jumps, ramps, obstacles, off-road, and drift. Blast through speed traps, show off your skills in drift zones, and hit strategic smackables.
