Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is one of the world’s most legendary race circuits. Home to the Belgian Grand Prix, this iconic track has delivered some of the most immense and thrilling racing action in Formula 1 history. In his latest video from the Codemasters F1 2018 Preview event, which took place in London this past week, Matt212 takes the Haas Formula 1 race car out onto Spa-Francorchamps for a quick 3-lap Grand Prix race weekend.

The video highlights the different camera options available when driving in F1 2018, including the full cockpit view with the controversial ‘halo’ on display. Matt notes that the halo isn’t too distracting or obtrusive when driving, but it’s certainly noticeable. Driving through Eau Rouge – defined as the most thrilling corner in Formula 1 history, is always an exhilarating experience, but the halo in cockpit cam immerses you even further when tackling this infamous turn in F1 2018.

The video also highlights foggy weather conditions on Spa-Francorchamps, which are new to this year’s Formula 1 racing game. As you’d expect, it adds another dynamic element to the game’s line-up of different conditions and makes you think that a thunderous downpour is imminent. Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps also looks as slick as you’d expect in F1 2018, and it’s fair to say it has never looked better in the Formula 1 game franchise. Keep in mind, this is taken from the Xbox One X version of the game.

F1 2018 will be available on August 24th, 2018 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. It features the full roster of teams, drivers and circuits of the 2018 season, as well as a selection of 20 classic cars. Be on the lookout for additional coverage soon, but in the meantime, don’t miss this in-depth 40-minute video preview of the F1 2018 Career Mode.
