Codemasters has released a short 20-second teaser clip of its upcoming off-road racing game, ONRUSH. The MotorStorm spiritual successor launches on June 5th, 2018, and leading up to its release, the developer has promised to showcase new footage and official gameplay from ONRUSH, whilst detailing its unique features.

In this new teaser, appropriately titled ‘The Calm Before The Stampede,’ we’re shown a few short-burst action-sequence shots taken from the game, giving us a glimpse of the off-road racing buggies and environments in ONRUSH, including muddy forestry areas and snowy mountainous regions. Despite its length, it does tease the adrenaline-pumping rush and fun to be had in the game.

It’s also worth keeping in mind the name of the teaser suggests something bigger is on the horizon, and with fans eager to see more footage and some actual gameplay captured from ONRUSH, it wouldn’t be surprising if we do see an official gameplay trailer drop soon.

In other ONRUSH news, pre-orders have now opened for the Deluxe Edition on Xbox One, which includes the Vortex Buggy, eight special Deluxe designs, two track Tombstones, a deluxe Crashtag, and eight console-exclusive vehicle designs in Xbox One’s signature green.

Codemasters says it will detail Tombstones and Crashtags in the future. PS4 users can also pre-order ONRUSH from the PlayStation Store, which includes similar bonuses with the addition of eight blue vehicle designs instead of the green ones to match PlayStation’s signature colour. Those who pre-order on PS4 will also have an “exclusive early access beta” in May.

Overall, the new teaser for ONRUSH looks fantastic, and gives us another little tease of the off-road racing action we can look forward to in this MotorStorm spiritual successor. As a reminder, the game launches on June 5th, 2018, and if you want to learn more, you can check out our recap of a recent Q&A held by Codemasters that’s all about ONRUSH.
